welcome新2登录 brings environmental education beyond the walls of the classroom with 费尔菲尔德农场. In 2004, welcome新2登录 purchased 260 acres of natural farmland located just a mile from campus. 六年后, we expanded the farm by adding an additional 27 acres of land as well as four buildings on the property. Over time, this expanse of acreage has become so much more than rugged farmland. It's become a thriving extension of our campus and a place for our community to explore, 学习, 和成长.

The farm is a source of inspiration for many classes and the hub of countless concerts, 课余活动, 及学校活动. Our land also serves as an essential Dining Hall supplier, giving students the chance to actively participate in an ecologically grown farm-to-table experience.

FFEAT, 费尔菲尔德农场生态探险队, is a way for students to experience all aspects of the farm. The organic produce grown at the farm becomes a significant portion of the meal plan in our own Dining Hall. In 2013, we were the first high school in the country to participate in the National Real 食物 Challenge, and years later we are proudly scoring with a majority of Real 食物. During the fall, the majority of produce served in the Dining Hall comes directly from the farm.

We supplement our home-grown food with produce from environmentally conscious local suppliers. welcome新2登录 partners with more than 30 local producers and family farms to source ethically produced, 高质量的食物. A majority of our food budget goes directly toward local businesses each year to support the regional economy. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we are intentional about minimizing food waste.
